NYX Professional Makeup is set to host its 5th Annual NYX Fine Artistry of Cosmetic Elites (FACE) Awards show Saturday, Aug. 20, at Novo LA in Los Angeles.

NYX Professional Makeup will celebrate the online makeup artist and beauty community as it names the "Beauty Vlogger of the Year" during the upcoming ceremony. The show will be hosted by YouTube star Kandee Johnson and will feature performances by Beyoncé protégés Chloe X Halle, and RuPaul's Drag Race star Alyssa Edwards and The Haus of Edwards, which will stream live at nyxfaceawards.com and on the official NYX YouTube channel.

"The NYX FACE Awards continue to be the premier platform to discover talented new makeup artists and encourage people to try their hand at expressing their creativity in the beauty industry," says Sarah El-Annan, AVP of integrated marketing & PR at NYX Cosmetics. "We are proud to continue our tradition of giving budding artists the opportunity to propel their careers forward with the NYX FACE Awards, and are grateful to our NYX community for their continued support."

Online viewers and show attendees are invited to follow #nyxfaceawards for real-time updates of the competition and to cast their final votes to help NYX determine the winner of $50,000 and the title of "Beauty Vlogger of the Year."

In addition to winning $50,000, the "Beauty Vlogger of the Year" will also receive consultations with professional makeup artists, a year's supply of NYX Cosmetics and the opportunity to kick-start a professional career in makeup artistry. The five runners-up will each receive $15,000.

The competition, which kicked off in April 2016 with thousands of video entries, has surpassed three rounds of public voting. To date, millions of votes have been cast. The remaining six contenders are currently gearing up to reveal their final makeup looks and NYX FACE Awards challenge videos before a live audience and panel of top beauty industry judges, including Academy-Award winning professional makeup artist Ve Neill; editor-in-chief of NYLON

Melissa Giannini; beauty director of Refinery29 Megan McIntyre; and YouTube sensation Ingrid Nilsen. YouTube star and makeup artist Charismastar—the very first NYX FACE Awards winner in 2012—will return as the show's emcee.

Tickets are free to the public and available at www.nyxfaceawards.com.

"There is no other makeup competition like the NYX FACE Awards," says host Kandee Johnson. "It attracts people from all over the Internet. Many of the contestants are self-taught but have incredible talents with makeup. To see what they do is really amazing, and to know that it's the biggest award show of its kind makes it a real honor to be a part of."
Partnering with NYX in its celebration of the online makeup artist and beauty community are the following sponsors: Redken, Target, LuLu’s, Lola Shoetique, The Body Shop, Clarisonic, Eva Hair NYC and Van's, to name a few.
