The cruelty-free movement continues its momentum with beauty giant CoverGirl “leaping” on board. Coty, one of the world’s largest beauty companies, has obtained Leaping Bunny certification by Cruelty Free International for CoverGirl. CoverGirl is now announced the largest makeup brand to be certified, marking an extensive, ethical step forward for the beauty industry in ending animal testing for cosmetics.
The brand’s supply chain and ingredients have undergone a strict audit to approve CoverGirl products and ingredients, as well as the brand’s suppliers, as animal friendly. The Leaping Bunny certification program checks for animal testing up to the International Nomenclature of Cosmetics Ingredients (INCI) manufacturer level, along with a continual internal monitoring system. Additionally, Coty plans to make all their brands cruelty-free by 2020.

The Leaping Bunny logo will appear on all CoverGirl products to guarantee consumers that no animal tests were used in development of the products.
