Indie Beauty Expo (IBE), which first entered the beauty scene in New York City in the summer of 2015 and made a second debut in Los Angeles in the spring of 2016 is now expanding its footprint to Dallas. Indie Beauty Expo will launch in Dallas in spring 2017, giving Dallas and all who flock to it a taste of all things indie beauty, from beauty ingestibles to beauty devices and more.
The beauty event, which brings together beauty, lifestyle and wellness brands for professionals, media and beauty enthusiasts, will take place May 9-11, starting at The Joule hotel downtown on May 9 and moving over to the Sixty Five Hundred, May 10-11.
“Indie brands are the driver of innovation and growth in the beauty industry,” said Nader Naeymi-Rad, co-founder of IBE. “Texas is one of the most vibrant, affluent and rapidly growing consumer markets in the world. We felt it was time the two met.”
Added IBE co-founder Jillian Wright: “In Dallas, we will be debuting the most advanced iteration of IBE—one that will represent all of our learnings and improvements to date. We want to make an impact in Texas, and we are investing to make that happen.”
The show is set to feature more than 70 different indie brands in skin care, hair care, nail care, ingestibles, fragrance and beauty devices. Each day of Indie Beauty Expo is set to offer attendees a unique experience with the indie beauty community and its offerings:
May 9, Connect Indie is reserved for indie entrepreneurs and will offer education, thought leadership and networking opportunities specific to beauty entrepreneurs.
May 10, Shop Indie is a day for press and beauty lovers. From 4 p.m. – 5 p.m., the show floor will be open exclusively to VIP press, media and influencers. From 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., the general public will be free to shop and mingle with the brands while enjoying beverages. Expert panelists will also speak on a variety of health, wellness and beauty topics.
May 11, Trade Indie is a day for buyers and beauty professionals to interact with indie beauty brands. Attendees will also hear from speakers on topics directly relating to their fields, including:

- Live Makeovers
