Top 2016 Holiday Beauty Brands by State

Anastasia Beverly Hills, Urban Decay and MAC Cosmetics are the most sought-after beauty brands across the United States, according to Influenster’s most recent findings. The consumer insights company aggregated the top reviewed beauty brands on its website and then conducted an online poll with 4,065 women to find out what beauty brands they want to find in their stockings this holiday season.

Social media sensation Anastasia Beverly Hills won the most number of votes across America, underscoring its expert grasp on the market along with the resurgence of the bold brow. Urban Decay’s cult following steered it to second place. The brand, which started out as an indie brand, now sells what has been dubbed the most popular eyeshadow in the world, Naked Eyeshadow Palette. MAC Cosmetics, best known for its signature lipsticks and consciously targeting the younger audience with its youth format stores, came in third.

Although Anastasia was the winner across the Northeast, South and West, it was Urban Decay that won the heart of the Midwest.

Influenster’s survey was conducted from Nov. 24 - Dec. 5 and completed by 4,065 respondents, as follows:
41%, 18-24 years old
40%, 25-34
13%, 35-44
6%, 45 and over
* Average age: 28
* 99% with heavy social media usage (on two or more social media channels)

The survey was conducted online in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
